GM GM A0K1VERSE citizens! We are so proud to announce that the A0K1VERSE is one year old today…and what a year it’s been!
We launched on February 22, 2022, opening our digital doors to all Steve Aoki fans far and wide. Joining the A0K1VERSE has brought all holders closer to Steve Aoki’s global universe, allowed access to amazing collaborations, taken us (virtually) to Amnesia Ibiza to party with Steve 🪩and given the community our own SkyPod neighborhood within oncyber!
Just some of the amazing companies and communities that we’ve collaborated with over the last year are Time Magazine, Gala Games, Snoop Dogg, Deadfellaz, Goblintown, The Sandbox, oncyber, Nickelodeon/Recur…the list goes on!
We’ve thrown some unforgettable IRL events at NFT LA, Veecon and NFT.NYC and have given away some fantastic merch and physical items. Many lucky community members even received an Aoki x BTS animated gold plaque celebrating 500k sales of the single “Waste It On Me” in the U.S., an AV collaboration with Infinite Objects that marks the first time that a gold record plaque has been animated!
With such an amazing Season One behind us, Season Two of A0K1VERSE is going to be a banger! So without further ado, we give you the roadmap for Season Two of A0K1VERSE rewards! As always, please keep in mind that there will be many more rewards that aren’t on this list, since we love giving the community additional rewards whenever an amazing opportunity arises!
That’s right…ALL Passport holders are now receiving free tickets to Steve Aoki shows and those who already receive free ticket rewards will be given much more! Steve loves seeing AV Passport holders in the wild.
But, it turns out that it is possible to be too good at something, as we found out once we realized that most of our community has diamond hands! It’s incredible to know that our community is so dedicated and supportive, but that means that we’ve had to make some pivots in terms of sustainability. As we look to further expand the A0K1VERSE community and continue to onboard web2 fans, we are making some changes that will enable us to continue to provide the value that our fantastic holders have come to expect.
Starting in late March / early April, A0K1VERSE holders will now need to pay a small renewal fee each season per Passport in order for that Passport to be eligible for each season of rewards. Given the recent fluctuations in both the NFT space and the USD price of ETH since the start of last year’s bear market, switching to a subscription model will allow us to continue to provide the rewards that our holders anticipate and appreciate, while also securing longevity for the project.
This new renewal fee will take some time to implement (roughly 30–45 days) so in the meantime we’re giving all of our OG holders an anniversary gift; within the next couple of weeks we will be releasing an open edition of Aoki x Reuko designed NFTs, based on the incredible creations that they developed when working with our very own Phantom and Prizm holders to create their 1 of 1 NFT rewards. We thought the designs were so fantastic that we wanted everyone in the community to have the opportunity to join, so we’re making some additional designs into a free mint for every current AV Passport holder (it will also be for sale at 0.02 ETH to the public)!
There will also be a burn mechanism for these open editions but we don’t want to give away everything just yet!
We are SO excited to jump into Season Two and release the upcoming free mint open edition as a big THANK YOU to all of our OG holders who have been with A0K1VERSE on this crazy ride over the last year. We couldn’t have done it without you and we can’t wait to see what Season Two brings!
