@BLM_TO Chapter as 2016’s Pride Parade Honored Guests.

July 3rd, 2016; The Toronto Pride Parade festivities began.
Around 4PM PST, [1PM EST Standard time] The Toronto BlackLivesMatter
Chapter came in marching, the loud vocal voices echoed whilst disrupting the attendee’s at this years Pride Day Parade.

Whilst marching down the streets of Pride Day in Toronto. they started chanting “Black Pride” throughout, reaching as many ears as they could.

For what it seemed as just that, nothing more — til they began proposing demands.

March Leader (Name unknown) Speaking loudly, forcing demands to be met.

They also threatened to ruin the rest of the Pride Day Parade by doing a ‘Sit-in’ if Demands were not met.

The Organizers at this years Pride Day reached out to listen to their demands to help resume the festivities — and accepted them.

What were the reason(s) for this though?

Alexandra Williams, a co-founder of Black Lives Matter Toronto, told CBC’s Natasha Fatah that they held the sit-in because they wanted to hold Pride Toronto accountable for what she called “anti-blackness.”

“It’s always the appropriate time to make sure folks know about the marginalization of black people, of black queer youth, black trans youth, of black trans people,” she continued.

To say what you will, I highly doubt Black youths in the LGBT are even marginalized, albeit that the LGBT promotes inclusion & diversity of all those who fall under the term itself.

To insinuate the LGBT community that operates & participates during Pride Day Parades are “Anti-blackness” according to BlackLivesMatter co-founder,
Alexandra Williams sounds disingenuous & left without any evidence in proving said statement.

She goes onto saying…

“We are not taking any space away from any folks. When we talk about homophobia, transphobia, we go through that too … It should be a cohesive unit, not one against the other. Anti-blackness needs to be addressed and they can be addressed at the same time, in the same spaces,” she said.

I’m particularly concerned on the part when she says “When we talk about homophobia, transphobia, we go through that too … It should be a cohesive unit, not one against the other.” I’d be one, & perhaps others wouldn’t disagree with that notion.

Yet I remain puzzled — to assume thinking they ever were. Once you remove race out of the equation, Anybody who has faced similar hardships wouldn’t doubt at all; Why bring up race into this, when it shouldn’t, leaves me at a place of disbelief that BlackLivesMatter are anything but for others, yet only out for themselves — and that’s what are & do.

BlackLivesMatter has & always has been coming from the viewpoint of their own suffering, racial tensions between the lives of Blacks & those who discriminate them.

While a case can be made valid that their lives do matter, it shouldn’t give ‘em
any excuse to trample other events & purposefully steal the attention & focus it towards them solely under the notion that their skin color matters only — this factor in the equation is what makes it to be a clear case of narcissism.

This is what turned the Pride Parade into a racial issue, when doubtfully there was no issue to begin with.

To continue on, Alexandra Williams goes on further adding…

“We didn’t bully our way into Pride … we made space for ourselves in a place where we have been erased,” Williams added.

Which is true, they didn’t bully their way into Pride — since they were given the title of Honored guests.

To proclaim they were “erased” when they weren’t, since BlackLivesMatter wasn’t a huge movement to begin with that had any part to do with the lives in the LGBT community, when it factually stemmed from the events at Ferguson after a long trial of being tired witnessing black lives mercilessly killed by cops.

And that they were given a space as Honored guests for the first time at this year’s Pride Parade in Toronto.

For when it comes to the the lives of black youths who ARE part of the LGBT community already prior to BLM, their lives do matter too — but not because of race or skin color, but because of who they are as within the banner of LGBT. Again, take race and/or skin color out of the equation & you have others agreeing anonymously without having any divide amongst one another.

Time for some Introspection….

What led up to this event taking place?

June 25th, 2016, BlackLivesMatter went crashing the Department of Police in Toronto’s headquarters during the unveiling of a LGBT mural after the
1981 Gay Bath house raids as a token of showing support & grieving after the disrespectful actions taken place during the unfortunate event.

A group of Black Lives Matter activists barged into a Toronto police department ceremony, where cops unveiled a mural honoring the LGBT community as a public apology for a decades-old anti-gay raid.

The protesters, chanting “No pride in police,” said the cop’s gesture was nothing more than a publicity stunt “used to mask the reality of police relations amongst the queer and trans community, black people, indigenous people, sex workers et cetera,” local BLM co-founder Rodney Diverlus, 26, told the Toronto Star.

The reality, & to the true heart of the matter of all of this has to do with the Police Department itself, while piggybacking off the lives that were affected during the Gay Bath house raids & the LGBT community itself — this is a clear example of exploiting the lives of others, just to use as the means to get at the Toronto Police Department for BlackLivesMatter’s main agenda.

And this has only to do with them in particular. BLM’s agenda has always been hatred towards Law enforcement officers — even when Law enforcement arrests a criminal that happens to be Black that committed a crime or not.

Not the lives of LGBT, they come second to them in their grand purpose of the movement itself.

To be further clear here, this exempts the lives of Black individuals that have Nothing to do with the movement itself, nor promote BLM of their actions.

This only has to do with those who actively invest themselves in the BlackLivesMatter movement. I repeat, only concerns those involved.

Closing Statement.

Black Lives Matter, the movement itself & those involved, participating & forthcoming of the actions they promote in committing are only creating more of a racial divide by causing tension not only with those of different skin color — but even their own! Furthermore expressing the signs of a racial hate movement.
