Welcoming the first mangoes of the season. Btw, Who made mangoes the king? Did I miss the election?  There was a time when fruits, vegetables and their mood decided what was on our plates all year round. You couldn't just walk into a supermall and pick the frozen vegetable or bottled up artificial fruit to satiate your craving. You waited. Waited eagerly. And ate your heart's fill till their next arrival.  Thankfully, mangoes still hold that charm. Good choice for a king. But would have liked it better if I was invited to the coronation.
