A twist of Lennon

John Lennon’s Imagine updated to be relevant for today’s time — You’re welcome

Imagine is a ground breaking song that John Lennon supposedly wrote in his Rolls Royce. The self-confessed ‘dreamer’ Lennon implores humanity (at least the ones who afford to buy the records) to Imagine a world without religion et all. Sure enough, silly fellow died for such frivolous views.

Woriginal song

Anyway, I updated the song so that it makes sense for future generations. They need my updated version more than the lovey-dovey LSD induced content that Lennon wrote.

Imagine

Imagine there’s no privacy
It’s easy if you try
No rights for any of us
Above us only saints
Imagine all the people
Fighting for food… Aha-ah…

Imagine nationalist countries
It isn’t hard to do
Everything to kill or die for
Especially for religion, you do
Imagine all the people
Living life in tethers… Hindu Rashtra…

You may say I’m a pessimist
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine 1 percenters
I wonder if you can
No need for freedom or liberty
A surveillance state for man
Imagine a few people
Spying on all the world… Aadhaar…

You may say I’m a pessimist
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And world will live as one
