I totally agree with what you are saying. In my view, Hip Hop has made a complete change in direction from what it started out to be. Women in Hip Hop has especially changed hugely. The lyrics almost are repetitive in every artist because they are essentially singing about the same thing. I hope that through time it starts to shift back to what it was and become more meaningful.
