Should you deploy your bot on your primary Facebook page or a secondary one?

Good points. Personally, I think it makes more sense to use your existing FB page after testing the bot. Creating a second page could confuse users/fans and you will lose the opportunity to benefit from the bot and get real value out of it.
I think a good approach is to:
- Welcome the user.
- Explain that it’s a bot but also offering options to get help.
- Provide a list of areas (either using buttons or words) it can help with and what sort of information it could provide. (Example: You can ask me about opening time by saying “opening time”)
- Lastly, provide other options such as how to file a complaint and getting real help. This could be by directing the user somewhere, telling him that it will be forwarded to the team, or using an advanced approach where using a certain word could ping a team person to join the chat.
I am still experimenting with some bot builders and I hope to develop a simple solution for my customers to use too.
