“It is health that is the real wealth and not the pieces of gold and silver.”

The role of nutrition in a person’s life is of the utmost importance for both their physical and mental development. Enjoyment of a healthy diet alone can be one of the greatest pleasures of life. Eating a balanced diet is vital for good health and wellbeing.

Nutrition is one of the major causes of illness, disabilities and even early death. In a country like India where more than 50% of the population is below the poverty line, it is even more difficult for people to have a balanced diet and get proper nutrition. Facts state that India is home to 194.6 million undernourished people!

Why is nutrition important?

life is not easy, it requires drudgery, dedication and strong will. We all have our ambitions to fulfill in our life. Thus, to overcome all hurdles and achieve what one really wants they need to be healthy not only mentally but also physically.

To be able to give their best and to utilize their abilities to the fullest one needs peace of mind and support of their body. Thus, a proper diet helps one not only to maintain a healthy body but also achieve what they strive for.

In scientific terms, nutrition helps to reduce the risk of diseases both chronic and non-chronic, improve your wellbeing, improve your immune system, increase your energy level.

Ways to maintain a healthy diet.

We can improve our diet in many ways and in the same budget. Some of these ways are:

⦁ Fruits help in keeping the stomach and intestines clean thus, improving digestion.

⦁ Low-fat milk keeps your bones strong and also is available at cheaper prices.

⦁ Green vegetables help to improve the eyesight and also increases one’s energy level.

Our effort…

We are not able to help all the children but we are trying our best to help whoever we can. Aahvan-Ek pehal has been taking effective measures like regular health check-ups, awareness campaigns for less privileged. Our team has been working on several campaigns to educate them about the importance of nutrients in the diet and how can one have a balanced meal even in the skewed budget. This is just a small step from our side to make the world a better place for innocent children.
