OK then. Get yourself together folks.
The Electric eraser is a real problem solver!
First:HIGHLIGHTS AND SHADOWS
For drawings to have such realistic effects, the tonal appearance of the drawing should be well defined.
This tonal appearance means shadows and highlights. A realistic drawing is one in 3dimensions. These dimensions are defined by the light and darkness and these values change gradually.
Now, a lot of artist have different means of actually creating highlights on a drawing. Some of which are
- Leaving that part unshaded
- Erasing that part after shading
- Use of white colour pencils
Why it isn’t like a regular eraser
Erasing a shaded part can be done with the use of a kneaded eraser but unlike an electric eraser, it’s not totally manual.
We all no automation makes task easier in our everyday lives, and the Electric eraser is pretty much a good example of an automated task.
All you need to do is press a button, and it rotates which cleans pencil shadings quicker than kneaded erasers.
It can be implemented in various parts of a drawing
- Drawing white hair has never been easier
- Drawing animal fur.. PIECE OF CAKE
- Drawing small skin pore details.. Please!
There’s only so much you can do with them and for a good price too(8 - 10 usd)
