DIWALI-REUNION OF LORD RAM WITH HIS FAMILY
What does Diwali mean to you?
Diwali for me is spending time with my family. Since the past few years I have chosen to celebrate Diwali indoors with my family.
Dussehra, the defeat of Raavan (evil) over Lord Ram (good), victory of light over darkness marks the beginning of festivities of Diwali, the return of Lord Ram, his wife, Goddess Sita and his brother Lord Lakshman to their hometown.
IT MARKS THE REUNION OF LORD RAM, GODDESS SITA AND LORD LAKSHMAN WITH THEIR FAMILY.
Some celebrate by throwing lavish parties, drinking, gambling, putting on display their finest jewels and fancy clothes. Diwali to each means their own.
But no amount of jewellery or fancy clothes can replace the joy I derive from spending time with my family, just being with them. For Diwali to me, truly is synonymous with family and loved ones over everything else.
We pray to our god’s and goddesses and light lamps/diyas but what truly brightens my life is just being with my family and loved ones on this beautiful festival.
Hence, along with wealth and prosperity, I hope our forthcoming years be filled with happiness, well-wishers, harmonious relationships with our families and loved ones and good health always. Because what is wealth without harmony and happiness in the family and the presence of family and loved ones in our lives.
Happy New Year. Happy Diwali. https://aanchal359.wordpress.com/2017/10/19/diwali-reunion-of-lord-ram-with-his-family/
