Google’s future after the I/O
They just unveiled future plans for their ecosystem with Android Auto, Wear, L, and TV.
Google’s I/O keynote was massive. It was a two and a half hour unveiling of the biggest changes to Google’s ecosystem since it started as one. After such an event, the analysis of Google’s future is tedious, because Google has just started a massive expansion to own your everyday digital life. But most importantly, will this work? Will this strategy of putting Android inside everything make Google the tech superpower?
I think Google’s plans are better than ever (but not perfect). They are finally tying loose ends around ecosystems to achieve better user experience, which was the bigger regret I had to Google. But I/O 2014 was too large and too dense, with lots of info and new features. Next week I will go through everyone of Google’s announcements, each one in a separate story. Stay tuned!
