From Our Network
Chinese Progressive Association and Single Room Occupancy family members joined the People’s Budget Coalition to call for a San Francisco budget that prioritizes healthy communities and affordable housing for all. This was CPA member Jiefang’s first rally; as a single mother living with her family in an SRO, she called on the budget committee to not cut funding to building code enforcement and SRO tenant services.
South Bay Youth Changemakers joined the public rally supporting protestors who blockaded entrances to Lockheed Martin, a Sunnyvale (Santa Clara County) arms manufacturer, to disrupt the weapons supply line that helps carry out Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. Lockheed Martin’s missiles are used by Israel to kill Palestinian journalists, health workers, aid workers, and civilians.
