Dear “I won’t be voting for Hillary”,
You are right, you should vote for you think is best qualified in being president. Yet, you don’t mention who that person is. You are either going to write-in a candidate or you leaving out that you are voting for Donald Trump. A man so unworthy of the president you couldn’t even mention his name. Donald Trump has insulted everyone anyone to get this far in this election, going as far to insult a gold-star family. Donald Trump looks up to dictators and has mentioned how wonderfully they have done, such as Putin. Trump has encouraged our enemies to hack us. Trump has the temperament of a school-yard bully. His character is un-presidential. How can Trump take the Oath of Office and pledge to protect the Constitution, when said at his convention, that “I am your voice. I alone can fix it. I will restore law and order.” That statement is alarming because he doesn’t understand that the Constitution, he doesn’t want to work across the aisle, he doesn’t want to work with a Congress. Donald Trump is used to getting things his way and in politics that is never the case.
Now onto your attacks on Michelle Obama’s speech. I encourage you to go back and read it because I think you missed something. I don’t see your message that they plan to control children. If you read or even watch the speech, you will see Michelle Obama is talking about how our children need leaders to look up to. A role that is unfit for Donald Trump.
With every word we utter, with every action we take, we know our kids are watching us. We as parents are their most important role models. And let me tell you, Barack and I take that same approach to our jobs as president and first lady because we know that our words and actions matter, not just to our girls, but the children across this country…
Our children need a president who will encourage them that they can be anything, not a man who calls Mexican rapists, or a judge can’t do his job because of heritage or that an entire religion should be banned from a country. Those aren’t values that we want in our children. They are values of hate. Those values go against the heart of our country. This ad reflects that:
And then you go onto attack this statement:
“That is the story of this country, the story that has brought me to this stage tonight, the story of generations of people who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude, the sting of segregation, but who kept on striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves.
Who are you to write off the sting of slavery and the impact it had on the history of this country? Yes, this country is founded on freedom and justice, but you don’t get to write of the bad side of history.
You are wrong in saying that, “ The First Lady spoke about one race, one generation and she sent a message of control”. Michelle Obama brought a message that we need dignified leaders to look up to, that we don’t need to stoop to name calling, and that when we come together as a country we are stronger together than when we are divided.
I want a president who will teach our children that everyone in this country matters, a president who truly believes in the vision that our Founders put forth all those years ago that we are all created equal, each a beloved part of the great American story.
You can be unhappy with Hillary Clinton you don’t have to vote for her. But when you are saying you won’t, you need to own up to the fact that you are voting for Donald Trump a man who can’t even get the entire GOP behind him. (If you have not noticed, not one former Republican President has endorsed him and neither has Ohio Governor John Kasich)
