Two weeks ago, my daughter took her first steps.

Thanks to my employer’s remote work policy, I was home and got to enjoy this milestone with my wife & daughter.

It got me thinking about the months leading up to this moment when she would try to stand up and either fell or reached out for support. Sometimes she even fell and hurt herself, but she got up and kept trying every day.

Then one day, after many failures, she finally stepped forward without falling.

There is nothing quite like watching a baby grow up to put all of our problems in perspective.

So, next time you get frustrated by lack of progress, remember:

We all fell many times before we took our first steps forward.
