Being a 25 year old British basketball player who can relate to your story. It reiterates the reality of basketball in this country and the BS around the game which limits opportunity for such dedication. I too went to the US and returned to pursue a UK degree.
This season after graduation I turned down the opportunity to go to Europe four times, to be paid for my skills, as the monetary value did not even equal half of a graduate salary; I appreciate your commitment but sadly can only take happiness from your story to reiterate my correct decision in turning down those opportunities. Good luck in the future and thank you for sharing your story.
P.s. We played against each other in D2 whilst I represented the Brixton Topcats. It was my pleasure to give you buckets ;) haa
Thank you
