Nice article, I have heard the grievances from millennials, and those similar in age, about the poor job climate and upward mobility, and dwindling public entitlements. It can be frustrating- I know that from personal experience.

However, I respectfully disagree. I feel lucky to have been born in a country, and grown up in a community, that is exponentially safer and offers more opportunity than many other parts of the world. I feel lucky to have had the chance to pursue multiple college degrees, especially when there are children around the world that will never get the chance to learn. I also feel lucky to wake up in the morning worrying only about commute traffic, and not a civil war raging in my city.

That said, I think the generations who lived through the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, were drafted and stormed the beaches of Normandy, marched on Selma and fought in the jungles of Vietnam have had more reason to grumble than us millennials.

They experienced existential crisis, while we merely confront economic anxiety.
