The struggle is real

As a user experience designer, I am constantly wrestling with information complexity in my designs. I trying to reduce information while maintaining an intuitive experience. I think this is a common challenge for all designers, but there isn’t a clear benchmark to guide this dilemma of information complexity. How much information is too much information? Is there a way to quantify the impact our design decisions have on the user experience? For the context of this discussion, I am referring to the user experience of mobile apps that contain screens of information.
