Good advice at any age. I just hit 40 this week so it is a good time to pause and reflect. Only thing I would add to your list is a short memory. People in sports and sales talk about the way mistakes beget more mistakes.

If you just stick to the plan you have the same percentage chance of success. Unfortunately many are wired to focus on the negatives. When you carry the burden of recent/past experiences you compensate. Leave that baggage on the curb and your life will more prosperous.
