I decided to switch from the Eduonix course to the Modern React and Redux course on Udemy. Once it got into Flux I felt like the course was really outdated. But you can check out my first project from the new course, a YouTube Video Viewer, here!

The concepts in the project weren’t too difficult as I was repeating the basics again. However, I am glad I went over them again because for some reason I have a real problem understanding the concept of data flow through different components. The next project is built with Redux though so I’m excited to get into that too.

Met up with my Chingu Voyage team online last night, and we decided that in addition to HTML/CSS/jQuery&JS, we’re also going to use MongoDB and Node.js. At this point I don’t think any of us are familiar with those two so it should be a fun learning experience!

Our project is going to be a clone of Jobbatical with a little boost from our “secret sauce”. Jobbatical is for developers that would like to look for opportunities to travel and find jobs around the world. So if you’re looking to work abroad check it out. And stay tuned for our final project!
