180 Websites in 180 Days: Day 29

Check out today’s page and the rest of my projects HERE!

Today is my birthday so let’s keep this short and sweet! Turned the big 23. It’s the G.O.A.T year.

Completed the File Metadata project from Free Code Camp’s API & Microservices section. If you have not heard of FCC and are want to learn or just get a refresher on some web development, go check it out!

Today’s project took a file you submit and returns some info using the Multer npm package. If you read through the package notes this project is fairly simple! I’m proud I’m finally learning some Back End stuff and learning how to connect it with the Front End.

In a couple days, after I finish the API and Microservices Projects, I’m going to double back through the FCC Front End Projects but use ReactJS this time. It’ll be interesting to see the differences in my projects using jQuery vs React. My previous Front End projects are up on my Github if you want to check them out (as well as all the 180 Websites projects). After I finish each sections(Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) I’ll do a review comparing and contrasting the different codes for each!

I’ll probably start a YouTube channel doing code alongs to go with these projects. So stay tuned for that! Let me know if you have any recommendations on screen recorder software.
