180 Websites in 180 Days: Day 45

Check out today’s project and the rest from this challenge here!

Couldn’t decide what I wanted to do so I just googled Web Dev projects and a recommendation for a Giphy app came up. I decided to do is so that I could get some more practice with Redux. Pretty basic stuff, API calls to set the state and display the data accordingly!

I updated my Recipe Box project so that I could submit it to Free Code Camp. I added in an edit feature and made it so that it stores new recipes in your local storage. I thought it would be much more difficult to do so but W3Schools had some good info on it and it was really easy! Check it out by clicking V2 on Day 9.

I’ve been thinking recently about the next step for what I want to do. If I want to start learning backend technologies and if I do then which one. Leaning more towards Node/Express at the moment but have really been wanting to study Python. But also I’ve been wondering if I should do some quick, easy projects for a week so that I can take the time to build a more complex app to display on more portfolio. Starting to wish I didn’t do 180 days but I’m still going to get it done!

I updated the background on my webpage earlier since I’m guessing the previous one was removed from unsplash but for some reason my page is not updating with the new picture. Thanks to those of you who notified me and I’m working on it.

Just realized I’m 25% done today!
