180 Websites In 180 Days: Day 9

Today’s website, Recipe Box, was a tough one. Technically it’s not done but I thought it was well enough for me to deploy it and update it later. I’m having fun learning React by doing but some of these concepts are hard to understand.

I want to complete the rest of the webpage based on FreeCodeCamp’s criteria. For that I just need to make the recipes view-able when clicked, allow editing of recipes, and to get it to store on the local storage.

I’ve been having issues getting the recipes to display correctly when clicked. No matter which recipe you click on, it will display the recipe info for the first recipe. I have no idea how to get the correct data to show when trying to edit the recipes. And I have absolutely no clue how to store/retrieve data from the local storage.

I want to practice some more with React tomorrow with a slightly easier webpage, and get back to this one so I can complete it!

If you have any tips on how to complete the 3 tasks I’m stuck on it would be much appreciated. Let me know in the comments or shoot me an email at aaron@aaronmassey.pro.
