Branding is all about image of a business online. The concept doesn’t only include style, emblems and logos but also perceived quality. The perception may be of total quality, reliability, and more, but if not careful a brand can transmit the opposite.

Branding is about the business itself but also how a business is different from its competitors. The purpose of a brand is to distinguish, to set apart. Once a distinguishing impact has been made, an advertising campaign is a thousand times more effective.

The success or failure of a company can be determined by a brand. Branding includes many factors which help a company be successful. These factors may include a website, marketing efforts, and anything that gives a company an identity. Consumers trust wholeheartedly a corporate image because there is a psychology in motivating the purchasing decisions.

All companies and individuals practice branding whether they know it or not. Brick and mortar businesses and online companies benefit through branding methods. It is common for smaller companies and online businesses to fail due to a lack of understanding about the importance and factors of a good brand and most importantly their customer.

In another respect we as human beings are practicing branding every day. From the clothes we buy, our hairstyle, types of cologne we wear and even the way we talk. Each of us as individuals are a brand in and of ourselves.

Branding ensures a forward momentum within a company. It seals the deal on an entire package. A small company with a powerful brand looks just as good as a large corporation when they practice the right techniques. It’s all about painting a picture and following through with your promise. Having a brand strategy will enhance your confidence as an entrepreneur and ultimately place you in a position of authority. Personal brands and companies that understand this and stay consistent in their pursuit will eventually have loyal customers that not only refer them but also rally behind them.

I call this Brand Dominance…

Definition:

Brand Dominance — When such a strong emotional connection is created that an audience not only refers peers, but also rallies behind the brand in pursuit of the brand’s own growth.

Brand Dominance isn’t necessarily about making buku bucks. Brand Dominance is about being the source. To become the one place where people go for expertise, advice, inspiration, encouragement, tactical strategy or whatever position of authority the brand strives for.
