Tim Cook and Steve Jobs

Great article at Fast Company from the authors of Becoming Steve Jobs.

I’m so excited to read this book, it’s nearly unbelievable, the 24th of March can’t come quick enough. The quote that struck me the most from the article was the one at the end:

Eight weeks after Steve told Cook he was making him CEO, things took a sudden turn for the worse. “I watched a movie with him the Friday before he passed away,” Cook remembers. “We watched Remember the Titans [a sentimental football story about an underdog]. I was so surprised he wanted to watch that movie. I was like, ‘Are you sure?’ Steve was not interested in sports at all. And we watched and we talked about a number of things and I left thinking that he was pretty happy. And then all of a sudden things went to hell that weekend.”

That’s why I’m so excited to read this book because it will tell the story of the loving, caring Steve Jobs, who would suggest a football movie because Tim Cook loved football. Even though Steve Jobs probably knew things where coming to an end, he wanted to spend this last bit of time, watching something that Tim loved and that speaks volumes.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
