As the year came to an end…
She looked gorgeous in that dress,
With all the curves she possessed.
The music was loud,
And so was the crowd.
Dancing and cheering with all her friends,
Making memories as the year came to an end.
In the parking lot, another car lowered a gear,
And entered yet another group of millennial.
Everybody was enjoying,
Until happened something which was annoying.
There came a group of miscreants,
One of them started getting closer to her,
She ignored once and twice,
He didn’t stop,
She stood horrified.
Her brain is now inundated with doctrine of elders,
Never should a woman step out in the dark, they had told her.
She looked around for help, hoping someone would volunteer,
But came to know that the world’s full of sightseers.
As that demon grabbed her bare hand tight,
Once again the society was proven right.
Closer he came and bit her lips,
Someone at the back felt her hips.
Battling against her thoughts she closes her eyes,
Hearing a cacophony, she lamented all night.
The night ended with humanity put to shame,
When the short dresses bore the blame.
“What could better exemplify a woman’s predicament?”
Thought every victim of harassment and lewd comments.
