Speculative Design deals with the question: What if? It’s a design method addressing big societal problems and looking towards the future and creating products and services for those scenarios.

Speculative design operates in a similar way as a common design method, but rather than basing the predictions solely on scientific laws and principles it also look at the cultural value to a certain problem. For instance the influence of fashion & trends etc.
