Non-verbal Communication

is transferring information through body language, facial expressions, gestures, created space and more. For example, when we meet someone we smile to show kindness.

Kinesics or body language

Posture or body movements that a person makes when meeting and interacting with other people, such as generally shaking hands and waving. Another examples are bowing in Japan, bowing in Korea, kissing the right and left cheeks in the Western, and putting both palms together in Southeast Asia.

Paralanguage

a component of communication through speech, for example tone, intonation, and speed of speaking, body movements, hesitant voice and facial expressions. The same thing with the emojis that we often use on cellphones, when we are angry the intonation of our voice changes to loud with a red expression on our face, when we are sad we cry with tears in our eyes, when we are happy we are happy with a sparkling face.

Proxemics

How to use physical distance between people when speaking or conveying a message. For example, when we want to talk about a secret to someone else, we convey the message by whispering at a close distance to the person we are talking to.

Clothing and appearance

First impressions are influenced by your appearance. The clothes and accessories you use make a strong impression and show who you are and what other people think of you. Clothing can also make you stand out from other people because it gives you your own identity.

Chronemics

Punctuality is like office hours which require employees to be punctual in carrying out a job. Another example is when we make appointments with other people, we arrive on time and don’t make people wait.

Artifacts-objects, and possessions

Objects used to represent a person, such as jewelry, piercings, and tattoos are commonly used by artists and ordinary people as a form of liking for art.

Haptics

Physical contact between two people, between a man and a man, in Arabic is defined as a form of friendship between men, then in a football match someone will tap their head when scoring a goal as a form of appreciation such as 'good job’.
