CULTIVATING THE HEART OF A TRUE WORSHIPER

The power in corporate worship is as a result of each individual’s private time with God. Most people leave their homes with the notion of going to a particular place to worship, forgetting that true worship begins with them.

John 4:20–21 KJVS

[20] Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. [21] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Worship doesn’t necessary happen because we sing together but because each person has a relationship with God in their closet. If it’s about singing songs together then going to the stadium to sing songs to support our favorite teams will also be worship.

The true essence of corporate worship is when True Worshipers (who worship the father in spirit and in truth) come out of their closet to meet with others who also have the same intimate relationship with God and begin to have fellowship.

Don’t leave your fire home and come and see another person’s fire burn and say you don’t feel the worship. Your private worship will count when you are in public. No worship leader can worship God for you. Learn to do it by yourself when you are alone. Worship must be private before it can go public. Spend time with the Lord for His presence is costly! Cherish it when you have it.
