WAITING IN WORSHIP

Waiting is a very difficult task and it takes great perseverance and patience to wait on God even while we worship.
Our world is caught up with the disease of ‘fast track’. People can not patiently wait any longer for anything. We must not be in a hurry when we get into the presence of the Lord. We must desire to dwell and tarry in fellowship.
The world is ever-changing but God remains the same. No matter what goes on in this world, God and His word remain the only constant. In our worship, whether corporate or individual we must have time to wait on the Lord. We should not rush Him out or be in a hurry to leave His presence. When that happens, we miss out on a true worship experience.
Worship should be enjoyed and must not be seen as a burden. Waiting in itself may not be easy, waiting on God in worship is worth every pain. The Psalmist wrote that, it is better to spend a one day in the court of The Lord than a thousand years elsewhere. David desired to be in God’s presence all the days of his life. We must also cultivate this habit and dwell in God’s presence. For He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. We should not change the way we worship God and conform the patterns of this world. Lets make time for God even in our ‘busyness' . It always pays to wait on God.
….For they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength. When we wait on God in worship, we come out stronger than we were before.
Worship patiently!
