1. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

This long-closed Weston psychiatric hospital is arguably the most well-know haunted spot in WV The asylum attracts tourists and locals alike for its tours.

2. West Virginia Penitentiary

This defunct prison has a bloody and unusual history. Including a request by Charles Manson to be transferred there.

3. Lake Shawnee Amusement Park

Once a fun day trip for locals, this abandoned park now stands idle, waiting for the odd ghost hunter or urban explorer to visit its grounds. This park closed down after a delivery truck backed into a young girl on the swing ride and a boy drowned in the swimming pool.
