Referrals and Recommendations
Referrals is a a process by which an individual asks another person, typically a contact within their professional network, to recommend them for a job, client, or specific opportunity.
Eg. you can ask a company senior or stuff members to refer you in his/ her company as junior worker.
Recommendations are formal, confidential letters provided to a graduate school or other academic-based program from your principal or your former company bosses.
Eg. you can ask a company head give Letter of recommendation or explain about you when your new company head contact your former company head to know about you.
In 2024, These two are important factor to join in a company as freshers, entry level candidates and experienced.
Where to ask
First upgrade your skills for the particular jobs.
For referrals
You must ask your relatives, seniors and your friends who were working in companies.
In Linkedin, you may find the company profile and HR profile.
In company profile -

HR profile also similar to the above one. But sending messages to HR or stuff members are Linkedin paid plan.
For recommendations
You must ask the teachers or principal to give the letter of recommendation and your former company head before you leave the company.
Conclusion
Some give referrals and recommendations after reviewing your resume. Have formal resume in hard copy and soft copy.
Never send one line messages to get referral. Send message under 50 words with formal words.
