Very well-written piece. Well done!

I remain profoundly amazed at how the general theme of Jesus’ message to the masses is that it is what is within a person’s heart that needs tending. If that’s done well, the things of the body and world will take care of themselves.

Also — how the theology that Paul espoused emphasized that “the Law” is abolished — totally. Not saying we’re free to do evil things (ref: Jesus’ main themes of “Love God” & “Love your neighbor”), but it seems insane that we would be making rules (Law) all over again.

And yet … show me a Christian denomination that does not have a set of rules that amount to a New Testament Law.
