That said, the desire of a content creator to collect works in an uncluttered way, and to control the details of their presentation, is a valid response to the issues many have with Medium’s profile options. This is exactly what I’m up against trying to determine how best to migrate a large volume of pre-existing content to appear here on Medium as well as on my decade-old blog, and how to cross-pollinate the platforms. I’d love to be able to offer my readership a place where they can read (and interact) across the range of different types of writing I’ve done, but still be able to say “Right now I’m just looking for the personal memoir, not the technical how-to content,” for instance.
