I have zero sympathy. Your father should understand that by attending in person, that he is lending his name and implying support. Ted Cruz is one the scariest candidates in recent years (GOP leadership realizes this and have distanced themselves from him) and that much is known--at least to people who have been paying attention. Your father (and you for that matter) should feel a sense of embarrassment and shame.
