As a trans guy named Griffin, reading this was extra awkward. Guys that “suddenly develop” misogyny post-transition are mythical beasts for sure, in that they were misogynist far before transitioning. But there’s this weird gap where people who’ve lived socially as women tend to be blind to their own misogyny. “Surely not I, king of feminists and well-known vagina-haver could possibly be sexist!” But sexism among trans guys used to be depressingly common. I feel like the communities as a whole have grown and matured over the years and this has become less common as a result. But, like society in general, we’ve got a long ways to go.
