I am from Pakistan and I can tell you that I wasn’t expecting to even see Pakistan in the list of the 50 countries but somehow it’s there. Pakistan should focus more of it’s resources towards teaching students how to code. Computer education is mostly nil in our high schools and most students only start learning CS in universities and even then the quality of the education is substandard. The competitive programming competitions in Pakistan are disheartening too since they can’t solve even the basic of the problems and I include myself in them but I am not a competitive programmer.
However, the availability of the internet and resources such as HackerRank can rapidly change these things.
FUN FACT: Pakistan had the smallest team in the summer olympics too.
