With the largest collection of Islamic art in the world, drawn from three mainlands, this fabulous gallery is so rich in treasure that it rewards short, violent visits. Rising from its own purpose-erected islet, and set in an expansive geography of meadows and cosmetic trees off the Corniche, the gallery is shaped like a postmodern fort with minimum windows( to reduce energy use). The views across the water are splendid. The gallery was designed by IM Pei, the mastermind of the Louvre aggregate in Paris, and you know that commodity special awaits from the nanosecond you lay eyes on the grand, win- tree-lined entrance. Outside, the structure is a masterpiece of light and space, drawing your eyes up to the pate, a clever ultramodern take on an element so current in Islamic armature. The collection is spread over three bottoms the 1st and 2nd bottoms house the endless collection, which includes exquisite fabrics, pottery, enamel work, and glass, all showcased conceptually. A single motif, for illustration, is illustrated in bordering display cases in the weave of a carpet or a ceramic bottom pipe, or acclimated in a piece of gold jewelry, allowing callers to gain a sense of the unity of Islamic art. Pace themselves by visiting the cafe downward or finish at the top-bottom IDAM eatery. On the ground bottom, there is a large gallery shop. There are free 40- nanosecond guided tenures( in English and Arabic) of the endless collection on Thursday at 2 pm. You can enjoy the best yacht ride in Doha near Museum of Islamic art.
