Selling Artisan services in Nigeria.

I have thought of e-commerce and a host of other business. I actually had the idea of uberizing artisanship a couple of years back but the many intricacies it comes with has always made implementation herculean and quite expensive.

I read an article published on ventures about two years back on disrupting the artisan space ; making it feasible for artisan services to be sold via a platform and making feedback effective. After great articulation, dotted i’s and crossed t’s, the writer still left us wondering who will bell the cat?

Looking at an industry that is multi faceted; its like the banking sector when you look at how wide your operations will need to be over time, it’s similar to Uber ; selling one business as another, it’s like Hotels.ng considering effective data collection. One good thing is people have ventured into the sphere. While some are niches like autobox.ng, others offer general services like NAMU handy services and anywork247.com. The last set are like an online directory like V-connect all of whom are approaching the problem solving process from different angles.

I’m coming in with Serveetcons.com knowing fully well it’ll be a bumpy ride. We’ll approach it lean, hoping to develop our business process through this method and see what the market of consumers willing to buy services is willing to offer.
