The technology has evolved significantly from its original vision developed by Grand Central, the originator of what is now Google Voice.

In 2017 voice search e-commerce was estimated as a $1.8 retail segment in the United States.

How many people use Siri?
Seventy percent of iPhone users say that they use Siri only sometimes or rarely. Back at the June 2017, Apple announced Siri was used on more than 375 million iOS devices each month. Also, 72% of people who own a voice-activated device say they use it in their daily routine.
