Drop it off-personally to go Extra-mile:
To create a difference, we’ve to go extra-mile. To show your extreme passion and to go further for extra-mile in getting a job or internships, it’s a good idea to drop your resume, cover letter personally. Since my childhood, I love and admire army because of the respect and reverence. And now as a dietician, I also want to start my career in Combined Military Hospitals. Now I’m just on the ends to finish my degree. For my final internship, I’ve chosen CMH, Rawalpindi because I’ve heard so much about its culture, reputation and standard.
So, I decided to drop off my documents personally. I took time from Mam Mussarat bhatti to meet her personally. On Thursday, I embarked on my journey to Rawalpindi from Faisalabad with my friends. Finally, we reached. The magnificent dream building was in front of me. While entering in the hospital, I was a bit nervous by the idea of confronting a new supervisor. I had no idea about her conduct. On the reception, I asked about the dietetics department. The receptionist guided me. With the dietetics department, there were physiotherapy and emergency wards. There I met Mam Mussarat, she was quite kind lady; I delivered my Elevator speech in quite natural sounds. I told her about my previous summer-break internships and handed over my documents to her; she gave me the police verification forms. There she introduced me to the other team member Nutritionists. Mam Saima was heading the General officer’s ward, Mam Ayesha as Chemo- head and Mam Raffia as Family wing head.

Then she made me visit to different wards of the hospital. It was a good experience overall and made me felt more confident for further Interview!
At times, it becomes difficult to go beyond extra mile because of the fear of Failure. The best way to overcome the nervousness is to face your fears, even if you gets fail, there would be better chances of growth. So, Just take the plunge!
