Mega project: 1st blog
We believe that God has gifted every one of us with unique abilities and our belief led us to work on specially- able children. For the Mega/Final project of the Amal academy, we came up with many ideas like:
1-Feeding the poor by arranging food stools, but for this we need a lot of financial help.
2-The second idea was to start workshops in different colleges and universities where we can tell them all the basic skills like C.V. writing, how to write cover letter, preparation for interview and job research etc. By doing this, we can help a lot of students those are near to their graduation as well as our own skills, communication, way of speaking and confidence will increase. The best thing was we would not need financial help from any one, but again there would be much more resistance as we all are fresh grads.
3-The third idea was Helping special Children by encouraging them to go to school, as government has started different schools for special children but due to lack of knowledge many families having special children didn’t know about these type of schools. It’s like to start a campaign. We also meet different persons and rise some funding for their school uniforms and etc.

So after a lot of brain storming, we finalized our third one idea. We wanted to work on this project because these specially-able children are the most ignored part of our society. There are almost more than 5 million children are included in Pakistan. If instead of maltreating this important segment of our society, we start working on their unique abilities by polishing them, it would be a great noble cause not only for them but also for Pakistan.
There were many challenges we’ve to face. First, the lack of data including addresses of these children. For getting this, we contacted the NADRA and they refused to help us Instead they advised us to contact the registered organizations where we can find more organized form of data. So, we decided to contact any organization and to help them directly by providing necessary tools and equipment needed in schools. We all agreed for the Taameer and SOS village.
For up till now, we divided the tasks in our team to lessen the burden. Some of us managed to go to NADRA, some worked on pamphlets and some started working on social media for campaign. Hope so less monetary help is needed and the fund-raising would be done among us by family and friends.
For next, we are going to make teams for indoor, outdoor, fundraising and media-team. We are planning to visit both the Taameer and SOS and will design our new strategy to get things done.
We’ve made an Fb page to promote our cause, don’t forget to like and share this page.
