The LoveFools goes Keto for a Sunday brunch on September 9th 2018

Our Berlin trip and visits to the brilliant Keto/Paleo restaurant /cafe had a very beneficial side effect for me. It inspired genius chef wifey to finally “think keto”.

She served up a brilliant “almost” Keto 8 course dinner at the Grand Hyatt-LoveFools pop up event for me and now has announced a special Keto Brunch this coming Sunday as a “community event” ( which she does brilliantly most Saturday evenings if there isn’t a prior private booking !)

All this means, she is in full on R&D mode and is trying out various items to serve this Sunday !

I am using this Post as a pre-quel to the brunch covering sneak previews of food items ( that may or may not) end up on that day !

Item no. 1 : Keto Bounty bar

Goodie pack with Keto bounty bars crafted by The LoveFools ! ( and ultimately mostly consumed by the Chief LoveFools herself)
The yummy Coconut filling inside the Dark Chocolate bars

Chef Sarita Pereira has according to me got a winner on her hands with this bar. She is using 78 % Cacao ( Coverture) + Coconut + Stevia to sweeten. Result : Yummy !!! My childhood Bounty days are back :)

Disclaimer : The Coverture base. Since this normally has some sugar added, I will not call this a perfectly Keto bar. But, if in an overall meal, one has an idea of where the carbs that can affect blood sugar lies, then one is generally in good Keto hands as what matters is the Net Carbs that you eat in a meal.

Item no. 2 : Keto pancake + Fish in Fenugreek curry

Keto savoury pancake + Fish in Fenugreek curry

This was another hit for me ! I normally have my lunch which comprises a gravy item with fish and cauliflower rice which is all perfectly Keto.

Having a pancake option is a super option as one can tire of having cauliflower rice almost every single day as a base ( been doing that for 2.5 years now !).

The pancake was savoury, crisp ( I airfried it for a bit before having it) and airy like a Dosa. It was made with Coconut milk, egg and cashew nut flour. It worked for me as I didn’t feel too heavy after having it with my lunch. Normally too much of nut ends up being too heavy for me and the reason I don’t have nut based Keto bread regularly.

I am really looking foward to this journey/learning curve as I know that the Keto world (me !!!) can hugely benefit if they start getting The LoveFools calibre kind of food which is truly #SexyGood !

Tune in for more R&D updates !
