NVIDIA to Acquire Mellanox for $6.9 Billion

In the early news today the tech giant and leading industrial conglomerate in Graphics cards NVIDIA is all set to acquire the networking company Mellanox Tech. The Israeli based multi-national company has agreed upon the NVIDIA terms and join hands in the biggest acquisition of the year so far. Two companies are expected to boost the data center computation business together.

With the advent of AI-related workloads currently booming the cloud game, the acquisition will eye more than $400 Billion market. NVIDIA will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Mellanox for $125 per share in cash, summing up the overall enterprise valuation to $6.9 billion dollars. Two companies already share history with products supplementing each other. Mellanox is known for the state of the art contributions in the networking domain with active research ties with academia.
