Why Meditate?

Mind is the cause of all the suffering. We are already in a state of bliss or ecstasy but the mind plays different tricks, games, creates various illusions that make us think that achieving certain thing will make us happy. Longing that a certain person will fill my life with unending pleasure and so the cycle of suffering perpetuate itself. Ruminating it’s way into depression because the longing is unending, sometimes of material, sometimes of person, sometimes of status.

So the way out of this is achieving ‘mindlessness’.

The purpose of meditation is the annihilation of mind and it’s product, ‘Maya’ or illusion.

When the illusion is destroyed by the ‘awareness’ and the reality is viewed as the ‘present’ moment then we realise that what we were running after, the heaven , is already in and around us.
