Awesome article! It’s the multitude of small; common sense stuff and the actual code, that makes all the difference in hiring. America is so hinged on branded buzzwords and companies in resumes, that they are terminally blind to other abilities, passion, and self learnt skills. Add to that H-1B cheap, code labor force. It’s a bad mix of so many things.
