Indian Tech. Industry plays a great role in worldwide technologies. The aggregated Revenues measured by NASSCOM were US$160 billion in 2017 and still it is growing.

Coming to the fact that the salaries of freshers is not what is required for livelihood. The average salary for a Computer Science Engineering fresher in India is ₹ 3.5 lakhs.

Mostly every year IT services like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, HCL etc hire in masses from engineering colleges in India from across the branches with CSE given a bit preference due to their experience of programming and knowledge of technologies. The average salaries offered by these companies are ₹ 3–3.5 lakhs. These companies are most likely in Tier 2 and 3 engineering colleges where not a lot of companies turn up for campus placements and hiring process.

Tier 1 colleges or NITs or IITs have slightly better scenario depending on their individual reputation. There are eltite blue chip companies like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Amazon, Directi offers envy-worthy packages of ₹ 15–25 LPAs to some excellent candidates after several rounds of assessment.

According to an article published on @yourstory .

By this, we get the figures and conditions of Tier-2 and Tier-3 college graduates and their condition in the market. For 1 IITian there are 10 tier2/3 graduates with very low IT skills. Hope some day these figures increase and a proper balance is made in the industry.
