Delhi metro as soon as the word comes up we all think of those experiences that we have created in traveling the lifeline of the national capital. Almost everyone has a beautiful memory related to a travel story that they have lived while traveling in Delhi metro. Some people have good and few also have a negative experience of travel.
Talking about it here only is motivated while traveling in Metro itself. This means I m brought here only while traveling in the metro, And the MAIN thing about this blog is written while sitting in a metro. So we are now going to see both of positive and negative impacts and effects of Metro, and also some travel stories of the metro. Starting from a positive point lets talk about a few positive points of DELHI Metro.
So basically the huge benefit of metro is TIME-SAVING, its clear from the stats that it is probably the fastest possible public transport traveling for a long distance. And next boon of Metro is cheaper than other than other vehicles like Taxi and other cabs. Merely very good facilities are provided as compared to all other public transport.

Before talking about its bane let’s talk about its History and current condition, Delhi metro first railed through in the year 2002, the first route was RED line that connected Rithala and Dilshad Garden. From there it has only progressed without taking a single step back. Currently(sep,2018)when it has been 16 years it has almost 7 different lines completed and 2 more are under construction. One word that every Delhite will get through his mind is WEB, a Spider Web that metro has created in Delhi. If you say in normal words almost every location can be reached within a few minutes from a nearby metro station,
A person who is out of his home for any work and has to go a location little far from his home he will search for nearby metro station, a newly came person in Delhi is told address by nearby metro station, If a person is told to visit any place in Delhi where he has not visited, he will first search for nearby Metro station. This all sums up the requirement of the metro in Delhi. This also shows how A national capital is dependent on a Machine. In starting there were only 6 coach Metro trains and frequency was also not that considerable, but now it has an absolutely brilliant frequency on busy routes as well as 8 coaches trains are running on an increased speed.

Acc. To some stats given all over the internet, we have got that busiest metro station on the metro is Rajiv Chowk metro station, which connects blue and yellow line, it serves nearly 5 lakh passengers per day.

Now if we go further as we have seen many advantages of metro, we should also have an eye on few of the disadvantages the main disadvantage of being a public transport is the highest amount of money Is to payed among all public transport, it means it ‘s a common man will definitely not prefer it for a short distance but will prefer bus which are are available at very cheap rates. And another drawback is that it is a machine only you can’t control a machine over some extent, this probably leads to some technical snags and further to delay, sometimes it has also been reported that passenger was forced to deboard the train as train was not allowed to move further it was sent to the metro garage to correct the problem occurred.

Now some people are in so hurry for urgent work, or their office gets late and this whole incident degrades its value in pride. Now focusing on some minor problems that a common man may face in travel is not getting a seat, as everyone is paying an equal amount of money everyone expects a seat for their comfortable travel but for such a busy transport it’s not really possible, yes this can also be excite anyone in pride of Metro that” it’s so famous which makes it more crowd and very few people get to everyone travel the whole journey while Standing.” To resolve this problem DMRC has implemented many things that giving a reserved seat to Ladies (a special coach present over the end of either side) and for senior citizens and physically disabled people. For persons who are a regular traveler in the metro are given special discount on their travel through smart cards, this also saves the time of passenger from standing in the queue for a token.

This all steps clearly shows how hard they are trying to encourage more and more people to travel in Metro. There might be many more advantages and some drawbacks which I may have missed, so if anyone gets that please convey me.
