Childhood Memory
Deborah Kristina

My earliest childhood memory which came instantly is — I was walking on a street with my grandpa( Mom’s dad). And we had to cross the street. He held my hand and we crossed one street and reached the divider (middle of two) of the two roads. And then he left my hand and asked to cross the other road all alone. I don’t remember my reaction to it. I must had been surprised. But, in zero seconds, I looked at left and swiftly reached the other side. He followed me and I hugged him in confidence. As far as I remember, for the first time, I experienced the confidence. I don’t remember my age — anywhere between 5–10.
