True, even I found this feature not so good. WhatsApp for me, is a matter of convenience as a messaging App. I don’t wish it to be added with more and more features. I want it simple & just use it for messaging.

Yesterday, after the update, I was discussing with a friend, Although there are many other such apps, who have substantial user base like Telegram, kik, Hike(in India). But no one could possible beat WhatsApp in near future. Like something really bad has to be done by WhatsApp — in regards to monetize their business. And some other company could come up with simple features — just as simple as that of WhatsApp (previous version).

But, yes, even I see people in my contact list trying the new feature, even if they find it annoying.
