Change the Future of Children & Families
Darlene Kong

Thank you for your blog post Darlene. I currently work with at risk youth in a high school in the East Side of San Jose and many of my students are sufferinf from trauma, mental disorders, and/or are at risk of not graduating high school. When I talk to them many of them share that they have no motivation because their parents are drugs addicts or at a point in their lives were drug addicts. Many of these youth grew up with grandparents who took the place of their parent. I think that having parents who abuse drugs is not only difficult on the child but affects them when they are developing as young adults. Thank you for providing the website and phone number!
