I do not like being neither wrong nor right
…all of the time
Knowing the correct answer is always a pleasure. Predicting a situation based on your experience is refreshing. Taking the responsibility of carrying out a task perfectly secures those that surround you. But being always right? It’s both egoistic and lonely.
Giving a second chance, not responding all that quickly, even pretending not to know the outcome seems a waste of time and energy. Opening the door to uncertainty may bring in some cold but it’s the only way to broaden your mind. It also provides you with the right to fail.
I believe each one of us must try to keep that known/unknown ratio at a certain percentage. I haven’t figured out what this is but I certainly do not like being around people who are either always right on their “important field of knowledge” or cannot be trusted at all.
